Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Ponce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Gotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jose Ponce has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jose Ponce seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Ponce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Duke Gotti!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponce bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ponce thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gotti is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ponce is working to tighten is grip on Gotti's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gotti has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ponce is really squeezing tight and eventually Gotti passes out! Ponce breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jose Ponce!
