Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tj Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongolia Heed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heed has chosen Gentlelman as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tj Shields!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Mongolia Heed!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Heed changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shields looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Shields defending against the ground and pound.

Shields is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Heed is looking to take a break and control but Shields is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Shields is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Heed's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Heed's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Heed.
Heed shoots in for a takedown but Shields shows good takedown defense.
Heed tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shields sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Heed somewhat.
Tj Shields has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mongolia Heed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heed feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tj Shields will probably get the nod.

Heed closes the distance and clinches up with Shields, looking for a takedown. Heed pushes Shields against the cage but Shields circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Heed fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shields sprawls well initially but Heed persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Heed seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shields does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Shields flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well, if Heed is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mongolia Heed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Heed has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A determined Mongolia Heed didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
