Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cat McHatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McHatt has chosen MAINEIAC as his entrance music. Bubba Lynch has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bubba Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cat McHatt!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch gets the takedown into side control.
Lynch looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
McHatt sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
McHatt moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McHatt doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

McHatt has his feet on Lynch's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

McHatt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
McHatt has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lynch is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

McHatt jumps guard and drags Lynch to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
McHatt is trying to keep Lynch in close.
Lynch is looking to work some ground and pound but McHatt has wrist control.
McHatt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lynch manages to get himself to full guard.
McHatt trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

McHatt stands and steps away. Lynch gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Lynch closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
McHatt is trying is best to control the position here.
McHatt moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
McHatt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McHatt is controlling Lynch's posture.

McHatt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lynch is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McHatt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lynch's back instead.
McHatt lands a shot to the head.

Lynch manages to reverse the position and now he's in McHatt's guard. Nice work there by Lynch.

McHatt looking for a guillotine here but Lynch defends easily.

Lynch wants to pass the guard but McHatt is keeping the position.

McHatt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
McHatt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lynch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

McHatt looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

McHatt wants to work for an arm triangle but Lynch is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McHatt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lynch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lynch is not content to let McHatt control the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Cat McHatt just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lynch shoots in but no luck this time.

McHatt wants a takedown but no success here.
Lynch is pressed up against the cage. McHatt has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lynch down to the mat. Lynch avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lynch tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McHatt swivels and escapes.

Lynch shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McHatt's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lynch trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

McHatt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lynch is trying to get back to full guard.
Lynch wants to control but McHatt is keeping busy.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McHatt in particular looking to stall.
McHatt throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
McHatt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lynch keeps working.
McHatt sitting and controlling from the half guard.
McHatt wants to pass the guard but Lynch is defending well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

McHatt connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cat McHatt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lynch is looking to control McHatt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lynch avoid being mounted?

McHatt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McHatt wants to hold on but Lynch pushes him away.
Lynch pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

McHatt has his foot on Lynch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lynch works his way back into a safe position though.

McHatt has his feet on Lynch's thighs here. He's pushed Lynch off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Lynch screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
