The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith tries for a takedown but Ritzik sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Some wild striking there from Smith.
Ritzik wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ritzik fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ritzik scores with a body shot.
Ritzik lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smith at a distance.
Ritzik scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smith doesn't seem bothered though.
A slapping body kick lands there for Ritzik.
Ritzik's corner calls for a 1-2. Ritzik obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Aaron Smith has been cut.
Ritzik lands a nice leg kick that just misses Smith's sensitive parts.
Ritzik jabs at Smith's body.
Ritzik fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ritzik is stalking Smith. Smith circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Ritzik, and it's lights out! Smith really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

In his post fight interview, MSgt. Rupert Ritzik started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
