Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Lacy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dasarath Dongol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Lacy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dasarath Dongol!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dongol is looking to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Lacy or perhaps it was just good defense by Dongol which made him look bad.
No luck for Dongol with that takedown attempt.
Lacy lands a really nice looking cross but Dongol seems unphased.

Lacy drops Dongol with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dongol looks back up at him and smiles so Lacy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Dongol is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dongol looks to land a combination but Lacy avoids it well.
Dongol fails with a takedown attempt.
Dongol shoots in looking for a takedown but Lacy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dongol's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
James Lacy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dasarath Dongol.

Lacy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lacy wants to sweep but no luck.
Lacy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dongol's guard.

Dongol has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lacy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dongol.

Lacy is looking to take a break and control but Dongol is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lacy wants to control for a moment but Dongol uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. James Lacy wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Lacy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Lacy will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Lacy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dongol trying to control but Lacy postures up.

Lacy shoots for a double leg takedown but Dongol sprawls well. He's pushed Lacy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lacy gets to his feet - Dongol follows without any prompting.

Lacy's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Dongol looking to sit in guard and control but Lacy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Dongol can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lacy controls the pace.

Lacy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Lacy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Dongol moves to clinch but Lacy breaks away
and Lacy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lacy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dongol as he avoids it easily.
Dongol fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Lacy closes the distance and pushes Dongol back into the cage.
Lacy is trying to break the clinch but Dongol has him pressed against the cage.
Lacy goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dongol prevents it.
Dongol takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lacy is trying to pull guard but Dongol turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lacy is on top in guard.
Dongol is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dongol utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lacy stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Lacy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dongol sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lacy somewhat.
Dasarath Dongol has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
James Lacy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Dongol displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lacy.

Well Lacy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
