Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Oppelaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson comes to the cage accompanied by Alice In Chains- Them Bones. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lee Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dennis Oppelaar!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oppelaar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wilson but Wilson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Oppelaar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oppelaar shoots in looking for a takedown but Wilson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Oppelaar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wilson slaps away a takedown attempt from Oppelaar, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lee Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Oppelaar.
Oppelaar looks for a takedown but Wilson sprawls well.
Oppelaar walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Oppelaar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wilson avoids it really well and circles away.
Wilson throws a shot to the body.
Good leg kick by Wilson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Oppelaar takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Oppelaar tries to move into range but Wilson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A punch combination from Wilson misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Oppelaar is defended easily by Wilson.
Wilson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wilson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oppelaar takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Wilson throws a lazy right hand but Oppelaar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wilson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Wilson misses the target.
Oppelaar misses with a double jab
and Wilson counters with a straight right hand.
Wilson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Oppelaar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Oppelaar swinging wildly here.
Wilson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wilson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Oppelaar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nice body kick from Wilson.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wilson throws a series of strikes that have Oppelaar backpedaling.
Wilson tries to clinch there but Oppelaar circles away.
Oppelaar tries for a takedown but Wilson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wilson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wilson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Oppelaar back to the cage. Wilson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Oppelaar is trying desperately to land a takedown but Wilson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Oppelaar.
Oppelaar fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A right-left combo lands from Wilson.
Wilson jabs Oppelaar to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Oppelaar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wilson.
Wilson throws a shot to the body.
A jab lands there for Wilson.
Oppelaar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wilson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wilson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Oppelaar eats them both and turns towards Wilson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Oppelaar fails to land with a series of punches.
A jab lands there for Oppelaar.

Wilson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Wilson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Wilson missing with knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wilson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Wilson tries to work over Oppelaar's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Wilson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Oppelaar is looking to take this one to the mat.
Wilson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Oppelaar.
A short right from Wilson.
Wilson is pressed up against the cage. Oppelaar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wilson down to the mat. Wilson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Oppelaar shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilson sprawls well. He's pushed Oppelaar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Oppelaar closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Oppelaar takes a body punch but keeps moving.
No joy there for Oppelaar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oppelaar jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A combination from Wilson does no damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Oppelaar throws a series of punches but Wilson avoids them all with ease.
Lee Wilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Wilson, right into the meat.
Oppelaar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wilson as he avoids it easily.
Oppelaar looks winded!
Wilson delivers a nice body kick.
A big right from Oppelaar misses.
Oppelaar fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A solid leg kick lands there for Wilson.
Wilson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Oppelaar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wilson circles away quickly and effectively.
Wilson looks to land a combination but Oppelaar avoids it well.
Oppelaar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wilson's waist but Wilson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oppelaar off to one side.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Wilson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Oppelaar at a distance.
Oppelaar takes one to the chin there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wilson throws a combination. Oppelaar tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Wilson throws a nice head kick!
Oppelaar takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


Oppelaar is rocked!
Wilson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Oppelaar on the side of the head.
Oppelaar is still on wobbly legs! Can Wilson finish him?
Oppelaar gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Oppelaar tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Wilson is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Oppelaar buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Oppelaar!! Oppelaar is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Wilson throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Wilson!
Lee Wilson gave a mention to Backyard Fighting in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
