The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andersen shoots in and bounces Aschenbreaker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Andersen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aschenbreaker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Andersen goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Aschenbreaker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Andersen but great work by Aschenbreaker.
The referee asks Aschenbreaker politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Aschenbreaker prefers to stall for the moment though.
Andersen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Aschenbreaker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Aschenbreaker jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Andersen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Andersen and Aschenbreaker has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
