Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John McCall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tim Crain!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from McCall as Crain shoots in.
Crain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McCall tries to avoid it but Crain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McCall to the ground. McCall escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Crain throws a series of punches but McCall avoids them all with ease.
McCall throws a right hand that Crain ducks under and follows up with a left that Crain also avoids with ease.
McCall tries a low kick but Crain avoids it.

Crain bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Crain swings around for an armbar but McCall sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Crain's guard.
McCall wants to control from the top but Crain keeps moving.

Crain has his foot on McCall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McCall works his way back into a safe position though.

Crain looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCall working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Crain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McCall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McCall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Crain is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McCall defends well.

Crain throws an elbow that misses. McCall uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crain's guard. Nice move by McCall!
McCall is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
