Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Philip Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ding Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Philip Yang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ding Lee!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries for a takedown but Yang sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lee cracks Yang with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Yang drives through and clinches with Lee against the cage.

Lee is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yang is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lee to the mat. Lee regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Yang avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Yang is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yang is one step ahead there.
Yang is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Lee throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee working a defensive guard here.
Lee being controlled here, momentarily.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Philip Yang just wasn't active enough.
Yang thumps Lee with a low kick.
Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Yang sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lee shoots in for a double leg but Yang sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Philip Yang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ding Lee.

Yang closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lee quickly recovers to half guard.

Yang escapes and gets back to his feet.

Lee closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Yang to the mat! Yang manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lee is fighting to break Yang's control of his arms but Yang is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Yang trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Lee throws a big elbow that misses.
Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lee content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Yang keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.
Yang looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Yang pushes Lee off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Yang decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Yang is breathing heavily.
Lee landing a few short strikes.
Lee is looking for a sweep. Yang is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lee moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Lee has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Yang should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lee has tightened it up now! Yang should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ding Lee!
