The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marcos just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice uppercut there from Marcos. Marcos throws a push kick but Kingsley slaps the foot to one side. Kingsley shoots in for a takedown but Marcos shows good takedown defense. Kingsley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marcos is fending him off so far but Kingsley persists. Nope, Marcos circles away and we're back to standing. A punch combination from Marcos misses. Kingsley throws a jab when Marcos was well out of range. Marcos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Marcos throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Marcos missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Marcos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marcos working over Kingsley with some ground and pound. Kingsley looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marcos thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kingsley's head. Marcos is looking for a kimura here.
Kingsley is trying to get back to full guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Marcos lands a nice short elbow. Marcos wants to stand up but Kingsley has a hold of him and won't allow it. Marcos prevents Kingsley from standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marcos trying to advance position but Kingsley counters by regaining guard. Marcos trying to control but Kingsley is working from the bottom. Marcos looking to sit in guard and control but Kingsley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Marcos trying to strike off his back.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Marcos not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kingsley gets to his feet. Marcos looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kingsley wants to clinch up but Marcos keeps it at a distance. Kingsley looking to score a takedown here. Marcos is defending well but Kingsley drives through and ends up in Marcos's guard. Kingsley won't allow Marcos to get back to his feet. Kingsley stands and steps away. Marcos gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Kingsley connects with a high kick. Sao Marcos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marcos gets tackled into the cage by Kingsley. Kingsley maintains the clinch. Kingsley landing knees to the body.

Kingsley is trying to drag Marcos to the mat but Marcos just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Kingsley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marcos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kingsley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Marcos is trying to force a seperation but Kingsley has the dominant position. Kingsley pulls Marcos into guard.

A close round but Sao Marcos will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kingsley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kingsley keeps the fight on the outside. Marcos misses with a wild combination.

Marcos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kingsley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marcos swivels and escapes. Marcos throws a combination that misses and Kingsley counters with a three punch combo that has Marcos backing up. Marcos nods at Kingsley to acknowledge the strikes. Kingsley keeps the fight on the outside. Kingsley shoots in for a takedown but Marcos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Kingsley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marcos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kingsley looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kingsley. Marcos shrugs it off though. Some wild striking there from Marcos.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kingsley looks for a takedown but Marcos sprawls well. Kingsley dodges the punch combination from Marcos.
Marcos tries to bum rush Kingsley with a series of wild strikes but Kingsley uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kingsley instigates a clinch. Marcos takes an elbow to the forehead. Kingsley lands a knee to the body.

Marcos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Marcos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. No joy there for Kingsley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marcos looks to land a combination. Kingsley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Sao Marcos will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
