Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Thomas Duran has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thomas Duran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy White! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duran checks a leg kick. Duran throws a series of punches but White avoids them all with ease. Duran changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. White tries to avoid it but Duran manages to keep hold of a leg and drag White to the ground. White escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. White moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Duran misses with a takedown and White counters with a leg kick. Duran throws the kick towards the body but White avoids it. White looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Duran has his takedown stuffed and White counters with a low kick, right behind Duran 's knee. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Duran. That's going to take a lot out of him. Duran takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. White throws a leg kick but Duran moved away. White thows a leg kick but Duran checks it and Duran counters with a series of strikes. White will be more careful next time no doubt. Duran blocks a head kick by White.

That's one minute gone in the round. Duran with a poor takedown and White counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Duran is breathing heavily. White stands and steps away. Duran gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. White looks to land a left hand but Duran moved out of range nicely. White throws out a leg kick but Duran moves out of range and White only half commits. Duran has his takedown stuffed and White counters with a slapping leg kick. White throws a leg kick but Duran moved away. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from White lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Duran has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Duran and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. White lands a high kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! White looks to score with a jab to the body but Duran is just out of range. Duran checks a leg kick. White throws a chopping leg kick but Duran manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

White feints and then cracks Duran's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Duran down. White throws a sloppy head kick and Duran moves out of range easily. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Duran. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. White motions for Duran to come forward. White throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from White.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duran keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
White throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. White attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. White throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Duran's head. Duran checks a low kick from White. Duran has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from White. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Duran shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and White counters with a nice low kick that buckles Duran's knee momentarily. White misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Duran is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. White feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Duran's calf. White moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. White tries a low kick but Duran avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Freddy White dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
White throws a low kick, looking for Duran's leg but Duran calmly moves out of range. Duran looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? White is fending him off so far but Duran persists. Nope, White circles away and we're back to standing. White throws a leg kick and Duran cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by White.

Duran connects with a high kick. Duran misses with a takedown and White counters with a good low kick that Duran was not able to check. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Duran. That's going to take a lot out of him. A bone on bone clash there as Duran blocks the leg kick.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from White in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Good leg kick by White there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

An inside leg kick lands from White. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Duran avoids a low kick by using good footwork. White lands with a thumping leg kick.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A nice inside leg kick there by White. That's going to slow Duran down. White misses with a low kick.

Freddy White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Duran closes the distance but White moves to the side and White counters with an inside leg kick. A clash of legs there as Duran blocks the low kick. White does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Duran shoots and misses and White counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by White. White is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Duran keeps the fight in the clinch, despite White's efforts to push away. Duran tries for a takedown. No joy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. White moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. White turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A nice leg kick lands there from White. A clash of legs there as Duran blocks the low kick. Duran checks the leg kick nicely there.
White shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Duran blocks a leg kick. Duran is looking to clinch but White is avoiding it.

Duran tries to clinch up and White counters with an inside leg kick. White will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
White fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Duran has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Duran gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so White counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. White gets to his feet - Duran follows without any prompting.
And that's the end of the fight! Freddy White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well White has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
