Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyrone Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Kirby!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kirby drives through and clinches with Tyson against the cage.

Tyson breaks from the clinch.
Kirby shoots in for a double leg but Tyson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kirby lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Tyrone Tyson has been cut.
Tyson blocks a head kick by Kirby.
Kirby wants to clinch.

Kirby closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tyson did well to prevent Kirby getting side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Tyson wants to control but Kirby is keeping busy.
Kirby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kirby not doing much here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tyson gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tyson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kirby manages to get himself to full guard.
Tyson trying to control but Kirby is working from the bottom.
Kirby looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tyson is one step ahead there.
Kirby is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Tyson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Tyson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Tyson stands up from Kirby's guard - Tyson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Kirby swats away the attempt to clinch by Tyson.
Kirby misses with a few strikes there.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kirby sprawls well. Kirby wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tyson gets slowly back to his feet.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown but Kirby shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Kirby misses with a takedown attempt
and Tyson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Tyson has Kirby up against the cage in a clinch.
Kirby tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tyson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tyrone Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Kirby.
Tyson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kirby lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tyson backwards.
Kirby tries a knee to the head but Tyson blocks it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Tyson is working for takedown but Kirby is calmly controlling the position for now.

Tyson looking to stall.
Tyson has a couple of punches blocked by Kirby.
Tyson trying to control the position but instead, Kirby has worked for underhooks and has pushed Tyson into the cage.
Tyson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kirby after a bit of a struggle.
Tyson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kirby smiles and moves away.
Tyson fails with a takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kirby closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kirby lands in his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Randy Kirby will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Tyrone Tyson's cut.

Kirby shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tyson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson is looking to reverse the position.
Kirby throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The referee asks Kirby politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kirby prefers to stall for the moment though.
Kirby trying to control the action but Tyson is working from the bottom.
Tyson stops Kirby from passing to mount.

Tyson seems a little lost for a moment, as Kirby dominates the positioning.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tyson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sloppy strikes there by Kirby.
Tyson is trying to control Kirby's posture but Kirby avoids it.
Tyson is letting Kirby control him for a moment.
Kirby is working Tyson over with some ground and pound from side control.
Tyson holds on to Kirby's head and controls the position momentarily.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Tyson prevents Kirby from moving into mount.
Tyson struggling a bit here.
Kirby wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working.
Kirby might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tyson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Tyson is looking to reverse the position.
Kirby trying to control the action but Tyson is working from the bottom.
Tyson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kirby presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Kirby trying to control but Tyson is having none of it.
Kirby looking to finish with strikes here!

Tyson is squirming around, avoiding Kirby's attempts to control the action.

Kirby is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tyson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kirby won't let Tyson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kirby in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Kirby is working for a guillotine from mount but Tyson frees his head quite easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Kirby showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Kirby will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kirby shoots in looking for a takedown but Tyson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kirby's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tyson shoots in looking for a takedown. Kirby tries to sprawl out of it but Tyson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kirby manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kirby as he avoids it easily.

Kirby is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Tyson tries to keep at a distance but Kirby has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kirby wants to take a breather but Tyson is having none of it.
Kirby passes the guard and advances to mount!

Kirby is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Tyson is refusing to be controlled, as Kirby sits in half guard.
Tyson misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Randy Kirby has got the better of the ground game so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kirby is trying to control the action in half guard but Tyson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kirby is just content to waste time from the top position. Tyson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Kirby seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tyson holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tyson throws a sloppy head kick
and Kirby counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kirby leaves Tyson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kirby has closed the distance and engaged Tyson in a clinch.
Kirby goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tyson prevents it.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Tyson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kirby walks away with a smile on his face. Tyson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tyson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tyson tries to clinch up but Kirby circles away and keeps his distance.
Tyrone Tyson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Randy Kirby is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Tyrone Tyson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tyson. Kirby does a little dance to reset his feet.

Randy Kirby comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kirby has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
