Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Al Bartlett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mickey Goldmill! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goldmill misses with a left hand and Bartlett counters with a right hand to the body. Goldmill throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bartlett's waist but Bartlett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Goldmill off to one side. Goldmill misses with a hook. Bartlett takes a shot right to the bread basket. Goldmill dips to his left and cracks Bartlett with an uppercut! Bartlett decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Bartlett is looking for a kimura here.
Bartlett thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bartlett is looking for a kimura but Goldmill is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bartlett to get the leverage. Bartlett looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bartlett is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Goldmill is just riding it out for now. Bartlett eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bartlett is trying to work for a kimura but Goldmill is defending well.
Bartlett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bartlett is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goldmill is defending against the submission attempts here by Bartlett.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bartlett is trying to control. Goldmill wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bartlett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Goldmill wants to improve his position but Bartlett is controlling well.
Bartlett is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Goldmill is just riding it out for now. Bartlett eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bartlett is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Goldmill sees it coming and defends easily.

Bartlett is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Goldmill defends it well. Goldmill is refusing to be controlled, as Bartlett sits in half guard. Bartlett is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Goldmill doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bartlett. Bartlett scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bartlett is trying to work for a kimura but Goldmill is defending well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Goldmill is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bartlett scores with a couple of nice shots. Bartlett is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Goldmill sees it coming and defends easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Al Bartlett dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Goldmill connects with a single shot there. Bartlett walks into a left hand. Goldmill shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bartlett as he avoids it easily. Bartlett moves out of range as Goldmill strikes. Bartlett lands a jab. Goldmill throws a right hand that misses
and Bartlett counters with a single leg into guard. Goldmill didn't expect that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bartlett passes easily into side control. Nice work. Bartlett in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Goldmill is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
