The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves thows a body shot but no joy.
Alves fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bueno looks to score with a jab to the body but Alves is just out of range.
Alves shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bueno is trying to defend but Alves finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bueno is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bueno is trying to maintain the position but Alves is very close to passing his half guard.
Alves throwing shots but Bueno is blocking nicely.
Bueno tries to get to full guard but Alves has control of the leg.
Alves works his way into side control.
Bueno manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Alves is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Alves looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Alves maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Bueno could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Alves has cracked it and Bueno is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Alves!
