Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Reggie Kray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Pickering!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kray shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pickering sprawls well. Pickering wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kray gets slowly back to his feet.
Pickering chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Pickering looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Pickering slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pickering avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pickering postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kray looking for a guillotine here but Pickering defends easily.
Pickering wanted to stand there but Kray had control of the position.

Kray is looking for a triangle but Pickering pushes his legs off easily.

Pickering really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kray controls Pickering momentarily but Pickering frees himself.
Kray is breathing heavily.
Pickering would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Pickering pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kray is keeping the position for now.
Pickering controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pickering stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pickering wants it to stay on the feet.

Pickering closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kray's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pickering stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kray swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pickering drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pickering jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pickering wants to control from the top but Kray keeps moving.

Kray is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Pickering looking to sit in guard and control but Kray gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pickering trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kray stops Pickering from standing up.

Kray wants to control from the top but Pickering keeps moving.

Pickering looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kray stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pickering swivels though and keeps the full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Pickering dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Pickering lands with a kick to the temple. Kray shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Pickering gets a takedown into half guard.
Kray has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pickering is working away from the top position though.
Pickering not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pickering not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kray works his way to full guard. Good work.
Pickering's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kray had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pickering defends it easily.
Pickering postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pickering wants to control from the top but Kray keeps moving.

Kray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pickering can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pickering stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kray swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pickering wanted to stand there but Kray had control of the position.
Sam Pickering has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kray keeping full guard, as Pickering tries to pass.

Pickering wants to stand but Kray is controlling his posture from full guard.

Pickering drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kray manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pickering has Kray in his guard.
Kray stands and throws Pickering's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kray in side control, throwing shots but Pickering defends.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pickering holding on.

Kray looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kray fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Pickering tries to improve position but can't.

Kray has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pickering looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pickering is controlling the pace.
Kray blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pickering.

Pickering is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pickering is trying to work for a kimura but Kray is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Pickering showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Pickering lands with a shot to the body.
Nice body kick there by Pickering.
Kray takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Pickering shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kray's guard.

Kray has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Pickering should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kray has tightened it up now! Pickering should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Reggie Kray!
