Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Stamkos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Strange! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steven Stamkos! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strange getting the better of the striking in that exchange. A combination from Stamkos does no damage. Stamkos misses with a double jab.
Stamkos misses with a hook. Strange ducked under it nicely. Stamkos connects with a jab. Stamkos throws a big shot that misses. Strange just misses with a punch to the body.
Stamkos misses the jab. Strange dodges the punch combination from Stamkos.
Strange slips under a jab from Stamkos. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stamkos checks a leg kick. Stamkos is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Strange. Strange defending well as Stamkos loads up on a big left hand. Strange tried to score with a low kick but Stamkos checks it. Stamkos lands an overhand right. Stamkos throws a hook but Strange avoids it easily. Stamkos gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Strange to score an easy takedown into full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Strange is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strange passes into half guard. Stamkos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Strange pulls his head out easily. Strange is taking a breather. Stamkos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Stamkos looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Strange is figuring out what he wants to do next. Strange tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stamkos knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Strange moves into full mount! Stamkos won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stamkos taking shots to the head. Strange lands a nice shot to the head. Strange controlling his opponent. Stamkos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strange. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stamkos is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Strange with a couple of short strikes. Stamkos can't escape the position.
Strange has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Strange scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Stamkos?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stamkos in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Strange lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Strange is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Stamkos to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stamkos shrugs it off. Strange landing strikes, looking to finish! Stamkos is working to get back to half guard.
Strange lands a big shot there that rocks Stamkos but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strange with the ground and pound from mount. Strange has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Stamkos is forced to tap!
