Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lloyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Lloyd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Ray! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lloyd displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ray. Ray tries to clinch there but Lloyd circles away.
Ray misses with a double jab.
Lloyd throws out a loose jab but Ray uses good head movement to avoid it. Ray tries to close the distance and clinch but Lloyd swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lloyd throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ray takes one on the button. Ray ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ray dives in and grabs Lloyd's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lloyd pushes down on Ray's head and hops out. Lloyd just misses with a punch to the body.
Lloyd lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ray backs up against the cage.
Lloyd lands a lovely overhand right. Ray misses with a kick to the body.
Lloyd ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ray moves away. Lloyd lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mike Lloyd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lloyd misses with an uppercut
and Ray counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The fight stays on the outside here - Ray looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lloyd throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ray sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ray has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Lloyd takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Horrible takedown by Ray or perhaps it was just good defense by Lloyd which made him look bad. Mike Lloyd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Ray. Lloyd lands with a straight right. Ray didn't see that one coming. Ray lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ray. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lloyd looks to throw the jab but Ray is out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ray walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Lloyd throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ray misses with the body kick and Lloyd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Lloyd comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ray looks winded! Lloyd throws a hook but Ray blocks it. Lloyd misses with a two punch combination.
Mike Lloyd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lloyd throws a series of punches but Ray avoids them all with ease. Ray on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Lloyd misses with a wild body shot. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lloyd, right into the meat.
Ray takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Lloyd lands a head shot. Lloyd connects with a jab.

Ray displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lloyd throws out the jab. Lloyd misses the shot to the body. Ray shoots in looking for a takedown. Lloyd tries to sprawl out of it but Ray keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lloyd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lloyd tries to bum rush Ray with a series of wild strikes but Ray uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lloyd misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lloyd cracks Ray with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ray moves away from the strike by Lloyd. Lloyd chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Lloyd swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ray. Lloyd scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ray in his tracks. Ray avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lloyd fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ray on the side of the head. Lloyd throws a big shot that misses. Lloyd scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ray in his tracks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's pushed Ray's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lloyd throws a right and a left that both miss. Ray uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lloyd.

Jab, jab by Lloyd - just one landing. Ray is breathing heavily. Ray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lloyd swivels and escapes. Lloyd gets caught flat footed, as Ray shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lloyd is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Lloyd bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ray's head. Ray takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
