Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devin Hurdle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasily Lebedev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Devin Hurdle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vasily Lebedev! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurdle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lebedev looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Lebedev is looking to get back to his feet here but Hurdle is keeping cool and he's managed to take Lebedev's back. Hurdle just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Hurdle is looking for the choke from the back position but Lebedev is controlling his hands well. Lebedev is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Hurdle working for a choke but Lebedev is defending well. Hurdle lands a shot to the body. Lebedev is trying to get back to his feet but Hurdle has full control of the position and if anything, Lebedev has just worked his way into a worse spot. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hurdle is riding his opponent, not letting Lebedev buck him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurdle is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Lebedev. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Lebedev controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Good control from Hurdle. Hurdle lands a shot to the body. Hurdle looking for the RNC. Hurdle really is a fat lump. Hurdle lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hurdle has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Lebedev. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hurdle is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Lebedev trying to get back to his feet but Hurdle is in full control for now. Hurdle lands with a hammerfist to the side of Lebedev's head. Hurdle trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Lebedev doesn't escape. Lebedev is trying to get back to his feet but Hurdle has full control of the position and if anything, Lebedev has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lebedev defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Hurdle looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Lebedev is controlling Hurdle 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard. Hurdle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lebedev manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hurdle slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Lebedev is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hurdle is controlling him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hurdle controlling from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Devin Hurdle dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hurdle lands a lovely overhand right. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lebedev.
Hurdle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lebedev looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hurdle controls the position from side control. Lebedev pushes Hurdle away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hurdle gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Lebedev takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hurdle moves into full mount! Hurdle cracks Lebedev with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hurdle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hurdle cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurdle controlling his opponent. Hurdle is in the full mount, landing strikes. You get the feeling that Lebedev really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hurdle scoring with strikes but Lebedev is staying in there. Hurdle lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hurdle controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lebedev is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Hurdle content just to control the position here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Devin Hurdle wasn't doing enough on the ground. Hurdle gets a double leg takedown into Lebedev's guard. Devin Hurdle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lebedev wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hurdle manages to pass to side control. Lebedev wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Devin Hurdle has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hurdle throws a right and a left that both miss. Lebedev lands with a cross. Hurdle clinches up with Lebedev and pushes him back against the cage. Hurdle is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hurdle tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hurdle wants the takedown. Lebedev is fighting it off but Hurdle persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lebedev's guard against the cage. Lebedev wants to stand but Hurdle is controlling the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hurdle landing some decent shots from guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hurdle passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hurdle controlling the position from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Devin Hurdle dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Lebedev gets tackled into the cage by Hurdle. Hurdle maintains the clinch. Lebedev wants to get back to striking at distance but Hurdle won't allow it.
Hurdle drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lebedev gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lebedev tries to circle away but Hurdle has him pinned against the cage. Hurdle's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Hurdle has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lebedev avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurdle tries to score a body lock takedown but Lebedev shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devin Hurdle. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hurdle has Lebedev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lebedev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hurdle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hurdle throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hurdle moves into the clinch. Hurdle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hurdle moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Devin Hurdle has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Lebedev enables Hurdle to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lebedev manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hurdle is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hurdle won't allow Lebedev to get back to his feet. Hurdle works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hurdle is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hurdle is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lebedev can do to turn this around? Hurdle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lebedev is just riding it out for now. Hurdle eventually gives up the hold. Lebedev wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurdle wants to take a breather but Lebedev is having none of it. Lebedev wants to get back to his feet.
Hurdle is figuring out what he wants to do next. Lebedev tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Hurdle manages to move to mount!
Hurdle looking to control and managing it successfully. Lebedev is trying to stand. Lebedev takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hurdle controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hurdle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Hurdle looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Vasily Lebedev has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hurdle blocks Lebedev's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Devin Hurdle showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hurdle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
