Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rose.
Rose just misses with a punch to the body.
Rose tries to clinch but Melo is having none of it.
Melo lands a jab to Rose's midsection.
Rose scores with a head kick. Melo tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Rose ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Melo moves away.
Melo lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Melo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rose checks it well.
Rose tests Melo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Melo jabs Rose to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Melo scores with a jab. Rose acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Johnny Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Melo walks into a left hand.
Melo misses with a body kick.
Melo throws a nice outside leg kick.
Melo swats away the attempt to clinch by Rose.
Melo misses with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rose swings widly with a right hand
and Melo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rose thinking.
Melo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rose's calf.
Melo scores with a head kick. Rose tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Johnny Rose has been cut.
A nice leg kick lands there from Melo.
Melo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rose tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Melo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Melo takes a swing at Rose's ribcage but misses.
Rose looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rose swings for the body but Melo moves out of range.
Melo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Melo there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Melo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rose.
Rose finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rose cracks a nice hook into Melo's ribs.
Rose throws a low kick but Melo avoids it.
Rose lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Melo backs up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rose throws a body kick that misses.
Rose misses with a few strikes there.
Nice uppercut there from Rose.
Melo looks for the body kick but Rose saw that one coming.
Melo checks a leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Melo. That's going to slow Rose down.
Melo lands a big head kick that sends Rose tumbling to the mat! Melo takes a step backwards and waves Rose back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rose is rocked!
Melo avoids the body shot from Rose.
Rose is still on wobbly legs! Can Melo finish him?
Melo connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Rose covering up! Melo comes in with a big uppercut and Rose goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Sergio Melo!
