Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Mckenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Ulriksen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mckenzie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Skillet- I'm Awake and i'm Alive. David Mckenzie has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, David Mckenzie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Victor Ulriksen! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mckenzie changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Ulriksen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mckenzie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ulriksen is in Mckenzie's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Ulriksen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ulriksen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mckenzie working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ulriksen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mckenzie works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ulriksen has gone for a leg lock! Mckenzie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ulriksen's guard. Ulriksen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ulriksen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ulriksen is on top in guard.
Mckenzie wants to sweep here but Ulriksen controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ulriksen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mckenzie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ulriksen stopping the sweep attempt from Mckenzie. Mckenzie throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Ulriksen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Ulriksen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mckenzie can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mckenzie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mckenzie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ulriksen wants to pass the guard but Mckenzie is keeping the position. Mckenzie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mckenzie pulls Ulriksen in to control the position. Ulriksen slips nicely into half guard. Ulriksen lands with a punch from half guard. Mckenzie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ulriksen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ulriksen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Ulriksen thows a huge punch but Mckenzie dodges it nicely.

Ulriksen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mckenzie trying to control from the bottom.
Mckenzie is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ulriksen passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mckenzie! Ulriksen with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Ulriksen slips under a jab from Mckenzie. Ulriksen misses with a looping right. Ulriksen fails with the takedown and Mckenzie counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mckenzie working over Ulriksen with some ground and pound. Ulriksen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ulriksen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mckenzie scores with a couple of nice shots. Ulriksen is not content to let Mckenzie control the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mckenzie throwing shots but Ulriksen is blocking nicely. Ulriksen has hold of Mckenzie's hands but Mckenzie slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mckenzie thows a huge punch but Ulriksen dodges it nicely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mckenzie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ulriksen sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ulriksen throws a body punch but Mckenzie moves out of range. Mckenzie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ulriksen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Mckenzie slaps away a takedown attempt from Ulriksen, before circling back to the center of the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ulriksen has a takedown stuffed. David Mckenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Ulriksen. Ulriksen misses with a takedown and Mckenzie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ulriksen's guard. Mckenzie landing with the ground and pound. Mckenzie is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mckenzie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mckenzie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ulriksen is trying to control the position but Mckenzie postures up. Mckenzie throwing strikes from guard but Ulriksen blocks nicely. Mckenzie wants to control from the top but Ulriksen keeps moving. Mckenzie throws a strike but Ulriksen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Mckenzie wants to sweep here but Ulriksen controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mckenzie is trying to hold Ulriksen in close to prevent damage but Ulriksen has managed to pass into half guard.

Ulriksen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ulriksen with good strikes from the mount here! Ulriksen misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ulriksen is in the full mount, landing strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ulriksen punishing his opponent with strikes.
Mckenzie is rocked! Ulriksen connects with a bit shot that sees Mckenzie covering up! More strikes from Ulriksen and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Ulriksen is our winner by TKO!
