Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ari Caige (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Toledo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toledo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Caige but Caige pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Caige counters with a left and a right that stings Toledo.
Caige pushes Toledo up against the cage in a clinch.
Toledo working hard to break the clinch.
Caige has clasped his hands together around Toledo's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caige trying to control the action but Toledo is working from the bottom.
Caige happy to just control the position for now.
Toledo is looking to regain half guard here but Caige keeps moving and retains side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Caige tries to move to mount but Toledo blocks the move with his legs.
Caige knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Toledo on the ground.

Caige looks up at the clock and then as Toledo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Caige smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Caige really is a fat lump.
Toledo tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Toledo is really stuck here.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Toledo looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Caige is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Caige gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Caige gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Caige apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Toledo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Caige swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Toledo blocks a head kick by Caige.
Caige fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Toledo, pushing him back against the cage.
Caige is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Toledo to keep the fight standing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Toledo tries to pull guard but Caige won't allow it.
Ari Caige has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Toledo.
Caige pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Caige looks to land a combination but Toledo avoids it well.
Caige throws a nice looking combination but Toledo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Caige shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Toledo napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Toledo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Caige working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

You can see the frustration on Toledo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Caige is looking to take a break and control but Toledo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Toledo takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Toledo is looking for a sweep.
Caige wants to lay and pray for a moment but Toledo keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Caige drives through with a takedown into guard.

Toledo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Caige haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Caige slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Ari Caige overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Toledo has his feet on Caige's thighs here. He's pushed Caige off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Caige screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
