Mir kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Sub-Mission. Sommerville is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Underdog. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sommerville tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sommerville letting Mir take a breather here.
Mir lands a hook that snaps the head of Sommerville backwards.
Sommerville tries for a takedown but Mir manages to get underhooks.

Sommerville breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mir throws a push kick but Sommerville slaps the foot to one side.

Mir darts in and clinches Sommerville up against the cage.
Sommerville jumps guard but Mir stands there with Sommerville around his waist. Sommerville gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cain Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gav Sommerville.

Sommerville really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mir is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Sommerville has his hands clasped together but Mir extends an breaks Sommerville's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mir.
