Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guillaume Mein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Had Enough-Breaking Benjamin as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Guillaume Mein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mein blocks a head kick by Johnson.
Johnson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mein changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Mein manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mein shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Johnson wants to stand and escape but Mein is having none of it.
Mein controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mein has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Mein throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mein scoring with punches to the head and body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mein engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Guillaume Mein wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Mein shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Justin Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mein closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Johnson to the mat! Johnson manages to get full guard.
Mein is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Johnson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mein lands a couple of digs.
Mein advances position into side control!
Mein working the ground and pound but Johnson is defending the strikes.
Mein takes a little break here. Johnson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Mein is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Johnson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Mein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mein misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Mein moves into full mount!
Mein looking to finish with strikes here!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mein scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Johnson?
Mein tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
BOOM! Mein connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Mein lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Johnson hang on?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mein is landing with some decent strikes but Johnson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mein with shots to the head and body - Johnson looks very uncomfortable down there.


Johnson is rocked!
Johnson takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Mein's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guillaume Mein!
