Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Rothko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitchell comes to the cage accompanied by Wax Simulacra. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Mitchell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Rothko !
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell connects with a leg kick. Rothko looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Mitchell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Mitchell is controlling Rothko 's trapped leg to prevent Rothko from advancing to side control.

Mitchell wants to work for an arm triangle but Rothko is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mitchell has hold of Rothko 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rothko manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Mitchell wants to finish this one by submission but Rothko is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mitchell.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mitchell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mitchell lands a nice shot to the head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Rothko throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mitchell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rothko is in Mitchell's guard.

Mitchell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Mitchell's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Billy Mitchell.

Rothko drives through with a takedown into Mitchell's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Mitchell is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Mitchell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rothko defends it easily.
Mitchell wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Rothko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mitchell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rothko has managed to get both his arms back between Mitchell's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rothko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mitchell has his feet on Rothko 's thighs here. He's pushed Rothko off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rothko screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
