Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Staunton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flynn Inc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Staunton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Flynn Inc! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Staunton as Inc shoots in. Inc with a poor takedown and Staunton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Inc tries for a takedown but Staunton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Steve Staunton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Flynn Inc. Staunton tries a head kick but it misses.
Staunton moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Staunton keeps the fight on the outside. Inc avoids the head kick by Staunton.

Staunton shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Inc has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. That's one minute gone in the round. Staunton is taking a breather. Inc says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Inc wants to control but Staunton is keeping busy.
Inc has hold of Staunton's hands but Staunton slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Staunton performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Inc looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Inc is refusing to be controlled, as Staunton sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Staunton wants to get back to his feet.
Staunton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Inc keeps working. Inc is looking for a sweep. Staunton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Inc tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Staunton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Inc is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Inc drives through with a takedown into Staunton's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Inc trying to control the position from guard on top but Staunton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Flynn Inc has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Inc as Staunton shoots in. Staunton scores with a spinning back kick! Steve Staunton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Staunton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Inc gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Staunton counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Steve Staunton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Flynn Inc. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! That's three minutes gone in the round. Staunton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Inc keeps working. Staunton throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Inc is looking to control Staunton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Inc avoid being mounted? Well, if Staunton is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Inc throws a head kick but Staunton moves out of range.
A low kick from Inc misses and Staunton counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. A head kick misses from Staunton.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Staunton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Staunton keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Inc keeps the fight on the outside. Staunton moves into the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Staunton jumps guard and drags Inc to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Staunton is trying to keep Inc in close.
Staunton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Staunton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Inc's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Inc shoots in and drives through. Staunton sprawls well. Inc gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Staunton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Steve Staunton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Flynn Inc. Inc takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Staunton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Donk. Staunton catches Inc right on the button with a cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Staunton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Inc but Inc pushes him off and we're back to square one. Staunton takes the fight into the clinch. Inc fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Inc would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Staunton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Inc is one step ahead there. Staunton has Inc pulled in close to control his posture. We're going to have a standup here because Steve Staunton wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Staunton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Staunton showed his dominance in that final round. Well Staunton has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
