Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jovon Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chambers comes to the cage accompanied by Carmen Gray-Gates of Loneliness. On his way into the cage it seems that Jovon Chambers has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jovon Chambers seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans throws a leg kick but Chambers sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Evans drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Chambers working a defensive guard but Evans manages to pass into side control anyway.
Chambers is looking for a sweep.
Evans misses with the ground and pound.

Chambers manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Chambers is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Evans's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Evans's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chambers is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Evans defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Evans tries to kick Chambers off in order to stand up. Chambers Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Chambers wants to control for a moment but Evans uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Chambers is looking for a kimura but Evans is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chambers to get the leverage.
Chambers wants to free his trapped foot but Evans is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Chambers looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Evans is trying to stand up here but Chambers is controlling him well.

You get the feeling that Evans really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Chambers looking to control but Evans is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Chambers is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Evans can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Evans tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Chambers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Evans is looking to escape.
Chambers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Evans has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Evans is keeping busy.
Chambers has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Evans's body.

Chambers tries to get the hooks in deep but Evans pushed the leg off.
Chambers doesn't have the hooks in and Evans manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Evans won't allow Chambers to sweep him here.

Chambers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Evans defends well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chambers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Evans is fending him off so far but Chambers persists. Nope, Evans circles away and we're back to standing.

Chambers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Evans sprawls well. Evans wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chambers gets slowly back to his feet.
Evans moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Rob Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evans throws a low kick but Chambers avoids it.

Evans lands a leg kick that knocks Chambers off balance momentarily.

Evans bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Evans postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Chambers gets back to half guard.

Evans looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chambers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Chambers wants to control but Evans is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Evans lands a nice short elbow.
Evans throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Chambers tries to roll over but Evans keeps him under control.
Chambers moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Chambers has momentary wrist control but Evans slips an elbow through the middle.
Chambers is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Evans passes Chambers's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jovon Chambers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Evans throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Chambers works his way to full guard. Good work.
Evans distracts Chambers with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Evans postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Chambers is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Evans has his hands clasped together but Chambers extends and breaks Evans's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Chambers.
