2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Hurt Soccer Kick! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soccer Kick throws a sloppy body shot
and Freeman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Soccer Kick's guard. Soccer Kick wants to stand and escape but Freeman is having none of it. Freeman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Freeman throws a big right hand that misses. Soccer Kick utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Freeman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Soccer Kick keeping moving, preventing Freeman from controlling successfully. Freeman is looking to work some ground and pound but Soccer Kick has wrist control. Freeman passes Soccer Kick's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soccer Kick blocking the ground and pound attempt from Freeman. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Freeman trying to control from half guard but Soccer Kick is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Freeman trying to control the pace. Soccer Kick is trying to stand.
Freeman wants to take a breather but Soccer Kick is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Freeman stops Soccer Kick from getting back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Connor Freeman just wasn't active enough. Freeman fails with the takedown and Soccer Kick counters with a right hand to the body. Connor Freeman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Soccer Kick slaps away a takedown attempt from Freeman, before circling back to the center of the mat. Freeman avoids the body shot from Soccer Kick.

Freeman shoots in and gets a takedown into Soccer Kick's guard. Freeman looking to pass the guard. Soccer Kick wants to stand and escape but Freeman is having none of it. Freeman throws a big elbow that misses. Soccer Kick wants to get back to his feet but Freeman is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Soccer Kick can do anything to dispel that myth. This has been an exciting period of action! Soccer Kick is working an open guard so Freeman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Freeman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Freeman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Soccer Kick is looking to escape. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Freeman uses his free foot to push down on Soccer Kick's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Soccer Kick. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Freeman with good strikes from the mount here! Soccer Kick is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Soccer Kick is squirming around, avoiding Freeman's attempts to control the action. The referee warns Soccer Kick that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Freeman raining down shots from the mount! Soccer Kick's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Freeman dominating with strikes here. Freeman connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Soccer Kick is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Freeman postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Soccer Kick in real trouble here! The ref calls for Soccer Kick to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Connor Freeman! A relieved looking Connor Freeman thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
