The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilkimys lands with a hook. Turk tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Turk dives in and scores a takedown into Ilkimys's guard.

Turk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ilkimys works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Turk throws a strike but Ilkimys rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ilkimys might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ilkimys sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Turk's guard.

Turk wants to improve his position but Ilkimys is controlling well.
Turk has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ilkimys lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Turk is still in real trouble! Can Ilkimys finish him?
