Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trajan Argyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Drago has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Drago! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trajan Argyle! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drago tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Drago tries a low kick but Argyle avoids it. Drago fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Argyle, pushing him back against the cage. Drago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Drago shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Argyle's guard. Drago is looking to stand up but Argyle won't let him. Argyle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Argyle is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drago is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Argyle is trying to keep Drago in close.
Drago knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Argyle on the ground. Drago wants to control from the top but Argyle keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Drago fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Argyle, pushing him back against the cage. Drago lands an elbow inside that Argyle shrugs off. Drago breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Drago throws a right and a left that Argyle avoids nicely. Drago throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Argyle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Drago counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Drago is thwarting Argyle's attempts to control the position. Drago is pressing down on Argyle's thigh, looking to free his foot. Argyle is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drago tries to stand but can't do so whilst Argyle controls his leg. Argyle looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Argyle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Drago is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago tries to pass to full mount but Argyle defends it. Argyle is refusing to be controlled, as Drago sits in half guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Drago shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Argyle is in a horrible position here. Drago smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drago tries to control but Argyle wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drago controlling the pace for now. Drago putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Argyle gets back to half guard. Argyle tries to get to full guard but Drago has control of the leg. Drago is thwarting Argyle's attempts to control the position. Drago wants to lay and pray for a moment but Argyle keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Drago dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Drago feints and as Argyle raises his hands in defense, Drago changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Drago could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Argyle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Drago can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Drago trying to control the position from guard on top but Argyle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Drago scoring with some ground and pound. Argyle manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Drago is looking to improve his position but Argyle isn't that keen on the idea. Argyle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drago is looking to escape. Drago is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Argyle wants to control the pace but Drago is squirming around nicely. Drago is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Drago tries to buck Argyle off but he can't manage it. Drago tries to hold on but Argyle postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Drago tries to lock up and control but Argyle gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Drago working to try and regain half guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Despite being in the dominant position, Trajan Argyle just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Drago cracks a nice hook into Argyle's ribs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drago slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Argyle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Drago wants to stand but Argyle has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Drago connects with a couple of short punches. Argyle keeping moving, preventing Drago from controlling successfully. Ivan Drago overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Drago decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Drago drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Argyle working for a triangle but Drago defends it easily.
Drago has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Drago slips nicely into half guard. Argyle is trying to control but Drago passes into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago looks up at the clock and then as Argyle takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Drago smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Argyle wants to control but Drago postures up. Drago goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Argyle has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Drago but great work by Argyle. Argyle is looking to take a break and control but Drago is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Drago is looking for a sweep. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Argyle tries to advance to mount but Drago denies him. Drago is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Argyle wants to control but Drago is keeping him busy. Argyle moves into full mount! Argyle takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

That was a close round but Ivan Drago did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. That's time! Drago's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Drago scores with a hook. Argyle has his takedown stuffed so Drago counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Drago might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Argyle working a defensive guard here.

Drago trying to control but Argyle is working from the bottom. Drago is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Drago is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Drago looking to sit in guard and control but Argyle gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Argyle moves out of range of the body kick from Drago.
Drago throws a nice looking combination but Argyle bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Argyle tries for a takedown but Drago circles away easily and Drago counters with a takedown into side control. Drago controlling from side mount. Argyle struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Drago had his way with Trajan Argyle in that round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Drago dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Argyle. That did some damage! Argyle is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Drago. Argyle blocks a head kick by Drago.

Drago gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Drago drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Argyle is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?
That's one minute gone in the round. Argyle can't do much from the bottom here. Argyle regains half guard. Drago is working for an americana but Argyle has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Drago was thinking about the submission. Drago postures up.
Argyle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Drago manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Argyle is looking to take a break and control but Drago is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Drago is looking to control Argyle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Drago avoid being mounted? Argyle takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Argyle trying to control from half guard but Drago is working away. Argyle is looking to advance position but Drago won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago is trying to get back to full guard. Drago is positioning himself well to prevent Argyle advancing to mount.

Drago decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Argyle, up you get! Drago gets the takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Argyle gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Drago gets to his feet - back to striking we go! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Argyle with a lazy takedown attempt and Drago counters with a takedown into side control. Ivan Drago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trajan Argyle. Argyle is looking for a sweep. Argyle manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Argyle looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Argyle prevents Drago from improving his position. Trajan Argyle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Drago wants to control but Argyle is keeping busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Ivan Drago showed his dominance in that final round. Well Drago has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
