The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Moretti coming out on top.
It looks like Schmidt Commers has been cut.
Commers shoots in looking for a takedown but Moretti manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Commers's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A combination from Moretti does no damage.
Moretti swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Commers darts in looking for a takedown but Moretti gets double underhooks and turns Commers into the cage.
Moretti manages to break the clinch.
Moretti looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Moretti misses with a few strikes there.
Moretti lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Commers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moretti swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Schmidt Commers. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Moretti counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Commers is looking to take this one to the mat.
Moretti breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Commers on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Commers is breathing heavily.
Moretti is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Commers flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Commers is out cold! Moretti holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
