The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Antona uses good head movement to avoid the hook from dos Passos.
dos Passos throws a poor cross that misses
letting Antona counter with a right hand.
That kick from Antona tenderised dos Passos's leg. dos Passos is trying to keep his angry face on.
Antona scores with a hook to the body. dos Passos takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
dos Passos throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Antona counters with a head kick. That will keep dos Passos thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
dos Passos missing with a left hand there. Antona was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
dos Passos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Antona stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A slapping body kick lands there for Antona.
A telegraphed right hand from dos Passos misses the target.
dos Passos loads up on a big right hand but Antona slips the punch.
Antona lands with a kick to the ribs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Antona slips a jab from dos Passos.
Antona misses with a wild combination.
Helio dos Passos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Antona swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Antona takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
dos Passos throws a jab when Antona was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
dos Passos misses with a shot to the body
and Antona counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
dos Passos shoots in for a takedown but Antona shows good takedown defense.
dos Passos misses with a body punch
and Antona counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. dos Passos is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Antona cracks dos Passos with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
dos Passos pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Antona fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt dos Passos.
Antona lands a head kick!
dos Passos is rocked!
Antona lands an uppercut out of nowhere! dos Passos falls backwards - clearly groggy! Antona dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aydine Antona!
