Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Kopite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oskar Aspengren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Oskar Aspengren!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aspengren looks for a takedown but Kopite sprawls well.
Aspengren closes the distance and clinches up with Kopite, looking for a takedown. Aspengren pushes Kopite against the cage but Kopite circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kopite misses with a two punch combination.

Kopite scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Aspengren is looking to control Kopite's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aspengren avoid being mounted?
Kopite knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aspengren on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Aspengren tries to get to full guard but Kopite has control of the leg.

Aspengren is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kopite tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Kopite lands the left hand.
Kopite avoids the body shot from Aspengren.
Kopite throws a series of punches but Aspengren avoids them all with ease.
Roberto Kopite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kopite will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kopite breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Aspengren counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Aspengren.
Kopite is trying to break the clinch but Aspengren has him pressed against the cage.
Aspengren tries to pull guard but Kopite won't allow it.

Kopite escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Aspengren gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Aspengren manages to pull guard.
Aspengren is striking from the bottom but Kopite uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Aspengren is trying to control but can't.

Aspengren is breathing heavily.
Kopite moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Aspengren.
Kopite moves into full mount!
Kopite looking to control but Aspengren is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kopite tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kopite goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Aspengren turns into him and now he's in Kopite's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kopite looking for a sweep. Not yet Kopite, not yet.
Kopite controlling the position.
Kopite looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Aspengren puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Kopite desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Kopite is looking to improve his position.
Kopite has hold of Aspengren's hands but Aspengren slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kopite won't allow Aspengren to pass to mount.
Kopite is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kopite is working hard here to advance position.
Kopite is refusing to be controlled, as Aspengren sits in half guard.
Kopite slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Aspengren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kopite swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kopite wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roberto Kopite will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Aspengren darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Kopite is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kopite tries to kick Aspengren off but Aspengren keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Aspengren is trying to control the action in half guard but Kopite is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Aspengren takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Aspengren passes the guard and advances to mount!
Kopite is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Aspengren has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kopite's face.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Aspengren lands a big shot there that rocks Kopite but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Kopite bucks up and throws Aspengren to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Kopite will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kopite's corner calls for a 1-2. Kopite obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Aspengren has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kopite finds it's way round the side to connect with Aspengren's head.
Kopite fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kopite tries to clinch there but Aspengren circles away.

Aspengren gets the takedown into side control.
Aspengren is looking to take a break and control but Kopite is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Aspengren tries to stand but Kopite is controlling his head.
The ground and pound from Aspengren seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Aspengren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kopite keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Oskar Aspengren comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kopite has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
