Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Rolins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anderson Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Rolins! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva gets a clinch. Silva is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rolins is defending well. A short uppercut from Rolins.
It looks like Anderson Silva has been cut. A short uppercut from Rolins. Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rolins pulls him back up using the underhooks. Rolins lands a hook that snaps the head of Silva backwards. Silva jumps guard but Rolins turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rolins tries a knee to the head but Silva blocks it.
Rolins pulls guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Rolins wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it. Rolins pulls Silva in close to prevent any damage. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Rolins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rolins trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rolins trying to control the position here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Silva fails with a takedown attempt. Silva misses with a double jab
and Rolins counters with a crisp right hand that drops Silva! Rolins lets Silva back up to his feet, looking for a finish! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A momentary lapse in concentration from Rolins enables Silva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rolins manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rolins swivels though and keeps the full guard. Silva being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Richard Rolins hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Silva dives in and grabs Rolins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rolins pushes down on Silva's head and hops out. Rolins shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Rolins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Silva looks to clinch and Rolins counters with a straight right hand.
Anderson Silva's cut is getting worse. Silva closes the distance but Rolins moves to the side and Rolins counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
