Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sho Shinjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi comes to the cage accompanied by Slaap lekker!. Shinjo has chosen Theme of Sho as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenny Gomi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sho Shinjo!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinjo throws a leg kick but Gomi sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Shinjo throws a lazy right hand but Gomi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shinjo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Gomi checks it well.
Shinjo misses with a combination

and Gomi counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Shinjo is trying to break the clinch but Gomi is controlling him.
Gomi lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Gomi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shinjo fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Gomi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shinjo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
