Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cody Rogers! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Jim Bob has been cut. Bob darts in and clinches Rogers up against the cage. Bob has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rogers regains guard immediately. Rogers throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Rogers has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Bob has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bob's corner. There ya go! There ya go! This has been an exciting period of action! Rogers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rogers is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rogers working a defensive guard here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bob scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Bob throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers tries to roll over but Bob keeps him under control. Bob is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rogers! Bob is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rogers can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bob scoring with strikes but Rogers is staying in there. Rogers tries to lock up and control but Bob gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob landing shots from mount. Rogers is wriggling around trying to escape.

Bob missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rogers is trying to maintain the position but Bob is very close to passing his half guard. Bob missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Rogers manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Rogers trying to control the position.
Bob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rogers swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bob with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rogers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rogers scores with a one two! Bob had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Bob scores with a body shot.
Rogers tries to clinch and Bob counters with a shoot takedown. Rogers fights it but they end up in guard. Bob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rogers swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rogers looking for a sweep. Not yet Rogers, not yet. Bob slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Rogers tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bob working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Bob wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rogers, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob lands a decent elbow from side control. Bob working the head and body with strikes. Bob tries for a kimura but Rogers is defending well. Rogers sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rogers wants to improve his position but Bob is controlling well.
Bob looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Rogers keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bob is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rogers is just riding it out for now. Bob eventually gives up the hold. Bob is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Bob dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jim Bob's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bob shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Rogers throws a sloppy head kick and Bob moves out of range easily. Rogers misses the shot to the body. Rogers misses with a few strikes there.
Cody Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rogers tries to clinch but Bob moves out of range. Bob slips a jab and a cross from Rogers.
Rogers keeps the fight on the outside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bob shoots in and bounces Rogers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rogers holds on and takes a little breather. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rogers is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rogers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rogers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rogers forces his way into half guard. Rogers is trying to control the action in half guard but Bob is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bob is looking for a sweep. Rogers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rogers is keen to just control but Bob is a slippery customer. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rogers lands a nice short elbow. Rogers takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Rogers works his foot free and advances to mount. Rogers controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob is looking to get to half guard. Rogers with a couple of short strikes. Rogers controlling the pace for now. Bob is looking to improve his position but Rogers isn't that keen on the idea. Rogers sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bob is working hard here to advance position. Rogers wants to control but Bob is keeping him busy. Bob is looking to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bob misses with a combination
and Rogers counters with a stiff right hand. Rogers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bob is fending him off so far but Rogers persists. Nope, Bob circles away and we're back to standing. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bob. Rogers lands with an uppercut that bounces Bob off the cage and back into rage. Bob throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A head kick by Rogers misses enabling Bob to counter with a crisp jab. Rogers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bob as he avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Rogers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jim Bob's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Bob throws a series of punches but Rogers avoids them all with ease. A right-left combo lands from Rogers. Bob uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rogers. Rogers misses with a double jab
and Bob moves into the clinch. Bob breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rogers tries to clinch but Bob is having none of it. Rogers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bob looks for a takedown but Rogers sprawls well. Bob has closed the distance and engaged Rogers in a clinch.
Bob tries to pull guard but Rogers won't allow it.
Bob tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Bob tries for a takedown but Rogers manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rogers wants to break free but Bob has control.

Bob throws a punch but it's blocked by Rogers. Bob looking for a takedown. Rogers wants to break free but Bob has control.

Rogers won't allow Bob to sweep him here. Rogers controls from within his opponent's guard. Bob looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bob manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rogers manages to get himself to full guard.
Bob cracks Rogers with a solid left hand. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rogers is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers tries to strike from the bottom.
Rogers tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rogers swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rogers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bob! Rogers blocks Bob's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Rogers lands with some strikes. Bob flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Rogers with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers looking to control but Bob is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rogers raining down shots from the mount! Bob is trying to reverse the position but instead Rogers has taken his back - oops! Rogers wants to control but Bob is keeping busy. Rogers keeps control of the position as Bob tries to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rogers doesn't have the hooks in and Bob manages to turn into his guard.
Bob thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bob looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Bob wants to free his trapped foot but Rogers is holding on for dear life with his legs. Bob moves nicely into side control. Bob looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bob has knee on belly and moves into mount. Bob prevents Rogers from getting the reversal.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Cody Rogers. I think Rogers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
