The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Down gets caught napping as Dongol dives in and scores a takedown. Down manages to retain guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Down trying to control the position here.
Down throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Down striking off his back but it's not causing Dongol any problems.
Dongol stopping the sweep attempt from Down.
Dongol is looking to advance position but Down has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Down has hold of Dongol's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dongol manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dongol is still in real trouble! Can Down finish him?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Down seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dongol for as long as he can get away with.

Down cracks Dongol with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
