PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuta Yamashita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Lemana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Lemana! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lemana tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yamashita swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lemana closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lemana maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Yamashita could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Lemana has cracked it and Yamashita is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Lemana!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Joe Lemana!
