The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Skywalker clinches with his opponent.

Mizlar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Skywalker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Mizlar feints and as Skywalker raises his hands in defense, Mizlar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Skywalker wants to stand but Mizlar is controlling the position.
Mizlar controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mizlar looking to pass the guard.
Skywalker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mizlar is one step ahead there.
Skywalker is trying to hold Mizlar in close to prevent damage but Mizlar has managed to pass into half guard.

Skywalker controlling the position for now.

Mizlar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Skywalker defends it well.
Skywalker is looking for a sweep. Mizlar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Skywalker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mizlar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mizlar really is a fat lump.
Skywalker is in trouble now - Mizlar has advanced to mount!
Mizlar trying to control but Skywalker is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Skywalker tries to lock up and control but Mizlar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Skywalker really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Poor strikes thrown by Mizlar there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Skywalker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Mizlar wants to finish this one by submission but Skywalker is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mizlar.
Skywalker is in all sorts of trouble here.

BOOM! Mizlar connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Mizlar has control of Skywalker's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Skywalker regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mizlar is breathing heavily.
Skywalker tries to hold on but Mizlar postures up.
Skywalker is trying desperately to improve position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Mizlar with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Skywalker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Skywalker is trying desperately to improve position.
Skywalker is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mizlar trying to control but he's not successful this time.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Mizlar here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Mizlar wants to work for an arm triangle but Skywalker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Skywalker controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Skywalker looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mizlar wants to take a breather but Skywalker is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Skywalker pushes Mizlar off but Mizlar dives into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Skywalker looks to move to half guard but instead Mizlar has passed into mount! Damn!
Skywalker is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skywalker tries to control Mizlar's body but Mizlar pushes him off. Skywalker squirms to his side and now Mizlar has his back!

Mizlar tries to get the hooks in deep but Skywalker pushed the leg off.

Mizlar avoiding Skywalker 's attempts to control his hands.
Skywalker is trying to stand back up.
Skywalker looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Mizlar is looking for the choke from the back position but Skywalker is controlling his hands well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mizlar is controlling the position but Skywalker somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Mizlar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Skywalker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Skywalker wants to get back to his feet.
Skywalker is looking for a sweep. Mizlar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Skywalker tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Mizlar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Luke Skywalker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mizlar fails to land the takedown.
Mizlar shoots in looking for a takedown. Skywalker tries to sprawl out of it but Mizlar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Skywalker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Mizlar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Skywalker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mizlar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Skywalker scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Mizlar tries to move into range but Skywalker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Skywalker throws a series of strikes that have Mizlar backpedaling.
Skywalker moves in looking to clinch but Mizlar pushes him off.
Mizlar fails to land the takedown.
Skywalker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mizlar takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Skywalker misses with a few strikes there.
Mizlar tries to clinch up but Skywalker circles away and keeps his distance.
Skywalker stalks Mizlar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mizlar's face. Mizlar staggers backwards, shaken.
Skywalker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mizlar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Skywalker as he jumps to the side.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Skywalker throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Mizlar tries to clinch
and Skywalker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A low kick from Skywalker is predictable there

and Mizlar counters with a takedown into side control.
Skywalker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
A control attempt from Skywalker but he's now mounted!
Skywalker tries to hold on but Mizlar postures up.
Skywalker is trying to escape the mount.

Skywalker is wriggling around trying to escape.
Skywalker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Luke Skywalker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Skywalker is looking to get to half guard.
Mizlar looking to control but Skywalker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Skywalker wants to hold on but Mizlar pushes him away.

Mizlar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Skywalker manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
No joy there for Skywalker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mizlar drops Skywalker with a beautiful combination! Skywalker stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mizlar is looking for the KO!


Skywalker is rocked!
Mizlar tries to clinch up
and Skywalker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Skywalker is still on wobbly legs! Can Mizlar finish him?

Mizlar forces Skywalker back against the cage and clinches.
Skywalker seems to have recovered his senses.
Skywalker is trying to break free.

Mizlar drags the fight down to the ground.
Skywalker wants to stand but Mizlar is controlling his posture from full guard.

Mizlar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jay Mizlar showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Mizlar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
