Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Haile Selassie I!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams misses with a looping right.
Williams throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Selassie I pinned against the cage. Selassie I gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Williams misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Williams's corner calls for a 1-2. Williams obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Williams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Williams is looking to clinch but Selassie I is avoiding it.
Remo Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams misses with a few strikes there.

Selassie I avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Williams lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Williams.


It looks like Haile Selassie I has been cut.
Selassie I moves out of range as Williams strikes.
Decent striking displayed by Selassie I there.
Selassie I takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Selassie I takes a jab right on the kisser.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Selassie I moves out of range of the strikes.
Donk. Williams catches Selassie I right on the button with a cross.

Williams missing with a left hand there. Selassie I was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Williams misses with a straight right.
Williams cracks Selassie I with an open hand slap.
Williams misses with a left hand

and Selassie I counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Williams!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Selassie I throws an elbow but Williams slips to the side and avoids it well.
Williams defending against the ground and pound.
Williams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Selassie I wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Williams tries to bench press Selassie I off him but Selassie I keeps the position.
Williams wants to control but Selassie I postures up.
Williams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position.
Selassie I misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Selassie I misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Selassie I postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Selassie I trying to control the position but Williams is working away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Williams tries to buck Selassie I off but Selassie I is having none of it.
Williams is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Selassie I misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Selassie I laying and praying for a moment but Williams takes advantage and regains half guard.
Williams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Remo Williams will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Haile Selassie I's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Selassie I staying out of range there.
Williams throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Selassie I sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Selassie I takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Williams misses with a hook to the body
and Selassie I counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Williams throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Williams tries for a takedown but Selassie I sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Williams looks to land a left hand but Selassie I moved out of range nicely.
Selassie I ducks under a wild hook from Williams.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jab, jab by Williams - just one landing.
Selassie I lands a brutal head kick. Williams looks out on his feet and Selassie I throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Haile Selassie I!
Haile Selassie I very nearly forgot to thank Fight Night Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
