PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Wiatrzyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Drago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mack Wiatrzyk!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago thumps Wiatrzyk with a low kick.
Drago shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wiatrzyk as he avoids it easily.

Wiatrzyk fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Drago, pushing him back against the cage.

Drago drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wiatrzyk gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Drago. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wiatrzyk breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Drago circles away from the clinch attempt.

Wiatrzyk darts in and clinches Drago up against the cage.
Wiatrzyk manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Wiatrzyk takes a knee to the side of the body.
Drago wants a takedown.
Drago tries to pull guard but Wiatrzyk forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Drago has Wiatrzyk pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wiatrzyk manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Drago goes for a takedown attempt but Wiatrzyk pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Wiatrzyk holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Wiatrzyk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wiatrzyk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Wiatrzyk is working to tighten is grip on Drago's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Drago has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Wiatrzyk is really squeezing tight and eventually Drago passes out! Wiatrzyk breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
