Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Ruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruger comes into the arena with Zoku by The Kodo Drummers blaring out of the sound system. Coleman has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. Brock Coleman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman misses the jab. Coleman gets a clinch. Ruger looking to throw knees to the head but Coleman is blocking nicely.
Ruger misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Coleman.
Ruger can't break the clinch.
Ruger is trying to break the clinch but Coleman has him pressed against the cage. Ruger gets control of Coleman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ruger will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Coleman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Ruger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coleman is one step ahead there. Ruger keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully. Ruger trying to keep a closed guard but Coleman is proving a slippery customer.
Ruger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ruger wants to stand but Coleman has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Coleman is trying to get back to full guard. Ruger is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Coleman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Coleman can do anything to dispel that myth. Coleman connecting with a few gentle strikes. Coleman is trying to get back to full guard. Ruger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Coleman throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Ruger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ruger is looking for a kimura here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Coleman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ruger tries to avoid it but Coleman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ruger to the ground. Ruger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Coleman looks gassed! Ruger lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Coleman backs up against the cage.
It looks like Brock Coleman has been cut. Ruger is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ruger gets in close and instigates a clinch. Coleman wants a takedown but no success here.

William Ruger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Coleman.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruger using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Coleman has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Coleman takes an elbow to the temple. Ruger has hold of one of Coleman's legs. Coleman is fighting the takedown attempt but Ruger gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Ruger works a leg free and moves into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ruger connects with a nice short shot to Coleman's temple. Coleman is looking to improve his position.
Ruger landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ruger uses his free foot to push down on Coleman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Coleman. Ruger blocks Coleman's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Ruger landing strikes, looking to finish! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ruger working Coleman over with strikes here. Ruger has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Coleman's face.
Coleman tries to hold on but Ruger pushes him away. Coleman in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Coleman is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruger is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Coleman is forced to tap! Great finish!
