Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Muniek Ziomek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Patrushev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muniek Ziomek could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sergei Patrushev's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Muniek Ziomek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Sergei Patrushev!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ziomek manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Patrushev on his heels. He'll look to pass Patrushev's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ziomek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Patrushev swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Patrushev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ziomek can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ziomek slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Patrushev is not content to let Ziomek control the position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ziomek changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Patrushev tries to avoid it but Ziomek manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Patrushev to the ground. Patrushev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Patrushev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ziomek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Muniek Ziomek.
I think Patrushev has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
