Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Quarles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pancho Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert Quarles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pancho Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sanchez shoots in but Quarles avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sanchez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Quarles has a takedown stuffed. Horrible takedown by Quarles or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanchez which made him look bad. Sanchez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sanchez wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Quarles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Quarles tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanchez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Quarles somewhat. Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Quarles sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Quarles shoots for a takedown but Sanchez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Quarles is breathing heavily. Sanchez wants to clinch. Sanchez looks to clinch and Quarles counters by clinching up. Sanchez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Quarles pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sanchez wants it to stay on the feet. Quarles throws a head kick that misses. Sanchez closes the distance and clinches. Sanchez prevents the takedown attempt.
Sanchez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Quarles walks away with a smile on his face. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Quarles pinned against the cage. Quarles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sanchez darts in trying to clinch and Quarles counters by moving into the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez jumps guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Quarles pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanchez is keeping the position for now. Sanchez looking for a sweep. Not yet Sanchez, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Quarles manages to get himself to full guard.

Quarles wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Quarles desperately trying to maintain half guard. Sanchez not landing any meaningful shots this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Quarles tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Pancho Sanchez will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Quarles throws a push kick but Sanchez slaps the foot to one side. Sanchez has closed the distance and engaged Quarles in a clinch.

Quarles closes the distance and clinches. Sanchez tries to throw a body punch but Quarles avoids it by throwing Sanchez back against the cage. Quarles fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Sanchez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Quarles creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sanchez sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Quarles is defended easily by Sanchez. No luck for Sanchez with that takedown attempt. Good standup being displayed there by Sanchez as he connects with a hook. Quarles stuffs the takedown. Robert Quarles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanchez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Robert Quarles has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pancho Sanchez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Quarles does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Pancho Sanchez. I've got Sanchez winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
