Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between manuel pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, manuel pacquiao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Omar Little! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Little shoots in and drives through. pacquiao sprawls well. Some bone on bone action there as pacquiao checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. pacquiao moves into the clinch. pacquiao can't break the clinch.
Little pulls guard. pacquiao has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Little is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Little avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Little has pacquiao pulled in close to control his posture. pacquiao is looking to stand up but Little won't let him. pacquiao wants to stand and escape but instead Little has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Little stops pacquiao from standing up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Little throws a right hand that pacquiao ducks under and follows up with a left that pacquiao also avoids with ease. pacquiao scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. pacquiao closes the distance and lands a one-two. pacquiao moves in looking to clinch but Little pushes him off. Little scores with a takedown into pacquiao's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Little stops pacquiao from standing up. Little advances to half guard. Little is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for pacquiao! Little can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as pacquiao is looking to escape. Little looking to control and managing it successfully. I looks like Little might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Little tries to control but pacquiao wriggling away. pacquiao tries to reverse the position but Little maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Little looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
pacquiao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Little on the ground. Little can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as pacquiao is looking to escape. pacquiao is bucking up trying to escape but Little cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. pacquiao is trying to stand. pacquiao is breathing heavily. Little scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Little trying to control but he's not successful this time. pacquiao is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Little wants to finish this one by submission but pacquiao is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Little. Little trying to control but he's not successful this time. Little working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. pacquiao is trying to stand. Little landing strikes from the mount and pacquiao is in trouble! Little working the ground and pound effectively.
Little lands a big elbow. pacquiao working to try and regain half guard.
Little looking to control but pacquiao is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. pacquiao is trying to escape the mount.
Little pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Little controlling from mount. Little prevents pacquiao from getting the reversal. Little looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Little takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. pacquiao really wants to buck Little off and get back to his feet. pacquiao defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Little. A nice elbow there by Little. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. pacquiao has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Little has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for pacquiao! Can he survive? No! He's out! Little gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Omar Little!
