Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Saputo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Tekotte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saputo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Milk Song. The key to victory for Mike Saputo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Saputo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Blake Tekotte!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saputo scores with a jab. Tekotte acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Tekotte throws a right hand that Saputo ducks under and follows up with a left that Saputo also avoids with ease.
Saputo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Tekotte misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Saputo.

Tekotte darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Tekotte thows a huge punch but Saputo dodges it nicely.
Tekotte missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Saputo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tekotte tries to pass to full mount but Saputo defends it.
Tekotte thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Saputo's head.
Saputo trying to control but Tekotte postures up.

Saputo has Tekotte pulled in close to control his posture.
Saputo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tekotte is one step ahead there.

Saputo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tekotte.
Tekotte throws an elbow that misses. Saputo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tekotte's guard. Nice move by Saputo!
Tekotte looking for a sweep. Not yet Tekotte, not yet.
Tekotte wants to control but Saputo passes easily into half guard.
Tekotte is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Saputo not doing much here.

Tekotte wants to get back to full guard.
Tekotte is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Saputo jumps into side control!
The referee asks Saputo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Saputo prefers to stall for the moment though.
Tekotte tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tekotte is letting Saputo control him for a moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tekotte can do anything to dispel that myth.

Saputo stands up and beckons Tekotte to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Saputo misses the shot to the body.
Tekotte has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tekotte takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A lazy left from Saputo finds it's target.
Saputo looks to land a body kick but Tekotte moved away.
Saputo lands a nice looking body shot.
Saputo scores with a hook to the body. Tekotte takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Tekotte checks a leg kick nicely.
Tekotte takes a shot right to the bread basket.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tekotte throws a right and a left that Saputo avoids nicely.
Saputo tests Tekotte's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Blake Tekotte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saputo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Saputo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Saputo misses with a low kick.

Saputo cracks Tekotte with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Saputo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Tekotte to stand back up!
Tekotte is still on wobbly legs! Can Saputo finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saputo knocks out Tekotte with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Saputo before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Saputo picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mike Saputo!
Mike Saputo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
