Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexej Stepanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Rainey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rainey has chosen Work Remix - A$SAP Ferg as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rainey lands with a shot to the body.
Stepanov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rainey sprawls well. Rainey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stepanov gets slowly back to his feet.
Rainey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rainey dives in and grabs Stepanov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stepanov pushes down on Rainey's head and hops out.
Rainey's corner calls for a 1-2. Rainey obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Rainey connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Stepanov momentarily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rainey.
Stepanov throws a right and a left that Rainey avoids nicely.
Stepanov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Alexej Stepanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Rainey.
Stepanov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rainey circles away.
Ricky Rainey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rainey closes the distance but Stepanov moves to the side
and Stepanov counters with a takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Stepanov is looking to take a break and control but Rainey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rainey wants to control but Stepanov postures up.
Stepanov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rainey is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Stepanov tries to advance to mount but Rainey denies him.

Rainey tries to reverse the position but Stepanov maintains control.

Rainey is in a horrible position here. Stepanov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Stepanov postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Rainey bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Stepanov and the fight is over!
