Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derfl Cadarn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xavier has chosen Spit It Out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derfl Cadarn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vic Xavier! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Xavier avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cadarn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Xavier as he avoids it easily. Xavier misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Xavier keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Xavier avoids the head kick by Cadarn.
Cadarn shoots in looking for a takedown but Xavier manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cadarn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derfl Cadarn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cadarn fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cadarn throws a wild body kick that Xavier sees coming a mile off. Xavier lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cadarn circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Xavier gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Cadarn wants to control from the top but Xavier keeps moving. Xavier is looking to stand up but Cadarn isn't so interested in that idea. Cadarn trying to control but Xavier is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Derfl Cadarn wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Xavier avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cadarn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Xavier moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Xavier circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice defenses there by Cadarn. Cadarn fails with a takedown attempt. Cadarn circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cadarn goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Xavier defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cadarn. Xavier stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Xavier wants it to stay on the feet. Cadarn is breathing heavily. Cadarn tries to clinch up. Xavier fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cadarn to the ground. Xavier is now in Cadarn's guard. Xavier sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Cadarn doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Xavier paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Cadarn - great work!
