Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ming Ong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yosimite Sam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ming Ong has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ming Ong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yosimite Sam! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ong takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sam.
Sam avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sam dodges the punch combination from Ong.
Ong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sam feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sam prevents Ong from getting back to his feet. Sam trying to control the position from guard on top but Ong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sam prevents Ong from getting back to his feet. Sam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ong swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sam thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sam on the ground. Sam slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sam looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ong wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sam is looking to advance position but Ong won't allow it. Sam passes to side control. Sam looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ong is trying to buck Sam off. Sam swings around for an armbar but Ong sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sam's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ong wants to stand but Sam is controlling his posture from full guard. Ong wants to stand and escape but instead Sam has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Sam drops back looking for a leg! Ong is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ong manages to kick Sam off! Sam jumps back into Ong's guard. Sam trying to control but Ong is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sam forces his way into half guard. Ong tries to kick Sam off but Sam keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Sam looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sam is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yosimite Sam dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A combination from Ong does no damage. The fight stays on the outside here - Ong looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A combination from Ong does no damage. Sam misses with a body shot.
Sam tries to bum rush Ong with a series of wild strikes but Ong uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ming Ong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A cross from Ong lands.
It looks like Yosimite Sam has been cut. Ong pushes Sam up against the cage in a clinch. Ong lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Ong breaks the clinch.
Sam changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ong tries to avoid it but Sam manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ong to the ground. Ong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ong misses with a wild combination.
Ong wants to clinch. Sam looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ong is fending him off so far but Sam persists. Nope, Ong circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sam fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ong manages to avoid it. Ong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sam. Sam looks to score with a jab to the body but Ong is just out of range. Ong swinging wilding here.

Sam throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sam is breathing heavily. Ong throws a hook to the side of Sam's head but Sam sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ong lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Sam sprawling to the canvas. Ong follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Sam hang on? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ong wants to stand up but Sam has a hold of him and won't allow it. Ong decides to return to a standing position. Ming Ong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ong feints and then cracks Sam's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sam down. Ong drops Sam with a beautiful combination! Sam stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ong is looking for the KO! Sam gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ong. Sam fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ming Ong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yosimite Sam. Ong lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That has opened up Yosimite Sam's cut even more. Ong tries to bum rush Sam with a series of wild strikes but Sam uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice combo by Ong! Oh, that's hurt him - Sam falls to the canvas and Ong follows him into side control.
Sam is rocked! Sam tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ong presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Sam is still in real trouble! Can Ong finish him? Ong trying to control but Sam is having none of it. Sam seems to have recovered his senses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ong is really struggling to control Sam but he's trying to hold on to the position. Ong wants to get back to his feet but Sam is holding on tight.
Sam can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sam regains half guard. Ong wants to stand up but Sam has a hold of him and won't allow it. Ong trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Sam wants to control but Ong is keeping busy and won't allow it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sam slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ong gets to his feet. Sam looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ming Ong dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Yosimite Sam's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Sam misses the shot to the body. Ong takes the fight into the clinch. Ong manages to break the clinch.

The cut above Yosimite Sam's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Sam is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ong rather than just go for the knockout. Ong lands a jab-cross combination. Sam just misses with a punch to the body.
Ming Ong is winning the standup battle so far. Ong misses with a double jab.
Yosimite Sam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ong tries to clinch there but Sam circles away.
Ong moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Ong scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Yosimite Sam's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Yosimite Sam's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ming Ong!
