The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamehr with a nice cross.
Florentino closes the distance and clinches up with Lamehr, looking for a takedown. Florentino pushes Lamehr against the cage but Lamehr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Florentino shoots in for a takedown but Lamehr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Florentino misses with a left hand
and Lamehr counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Florentino is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Florentino fails with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergio Florentino. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A shot to the body from Florentino misses
and Lamehr finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Florentino drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Florentino has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
