Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kid Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philip Negan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe comes into the arena with (Ugly kid joe) Everything about you blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Negan tries to clinch there but Joe circles away.
Negan is looking to clinch.
Joe connects with a body shot.
Joe keeps the fight on the outside.
Negan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Negan is looking to control Joe's arms but Joe gets an underhook and turns him. Now Negan has his back to the cage.

Joe digs a right hand underneath Negan's ribcage. Negan let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Negan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Joe throws a punch but it's blocked by Negan.
Negan is trying to trip Joe. He has hold of a leg but Joe is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Negan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Joe pulls Negan in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Negan walks into a stiff left hand from Joe.
Joe feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Negans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Joe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Joe lands a leg kick that knocks Negan off balance momentarily.
Nice jab there from Joe.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Joe lands a shoulder strike.
Negan has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Joe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Joe is really stuck here.
Joe is working hard here to advance position.
Joe is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Negan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fight stays on the outside here - Negan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Joe counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Philip Negan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A nice inside leg kick there by Joe. That's going to slow Negan down.
Negan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Joe paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Joe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Joe gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Joe pushes Negan back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Negan is looking to control Joe's arms but Joe gets an underhook and turns him. Now Negan has his back to the cage.
Negan tightens his grip and picks Joe up, before dumping him to the ground. Joe manages to land in guard.

Negan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Joe can pounce on him.
Joe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Joe.
Joe tries to throw a body punch but Negan avoids it by throwing Joe back against the cage.

Joe swings wildly with an uppercut but Negan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Joe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Joe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Negan is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Joe jumps into side control!
Joe slows the pace down.
Negan looks to move to half guard but instead Joe has passed into mount! Damn!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kid Joe will probably get the nod.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Joe, as that shot connected.

Joe tries to stand but Negan is controlling from the bottom.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Negan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Joe controls the pace.
And that's the end of the fight!
Kid Joe showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Joe, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
